Product Details

Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

During the Battle of Britain, German pilots began to suffer increasingly from what became known as Kanalkrankheit or "Channel sickness": operating at the limit of their fuel range in England meant that if they were shot down over land they would be captured and over the water they were in danger of drowning. In this Flight Artworks depiction of a scene from the summer of 1940, a Hawker Hurricane fighter from 11 Group of RAF Fighter Command has shot down a Luftwaffe Messerschmitt Bf 109E: its pilot, descending by parachute, is going into the sea.
